Cashier

The cashier is the payment section of a gambling site or app — the interface where players deposit and withdraw — together with the orchestration layer behind it that routes transactions to PSPs, applies rules and updates the wallet.

A modern cashier is far more than a payment form. Behind the UI it handles:

  • Method presentation — showing the right payment options per market, device and player history, with the player's last successful method first;
  • Routing and cascading — sending each transaction to the best-performing PSP for that method and retrying declines through alternates;
  • Rules enforcement — deposit limits, responsible gambling blocks, closed-loop withdrawal rules (returning funds to the depositing source), and AML thresholds;
  • Withdrawal processing — auto-approval logic for low-risk payout requests, with manual review queues only for flagged cases.

Cashier conversion is measured obsessively: deposit success rate per method and market, time-to-deposit for new players, and withdrawal turnaround. Small UX faults — an extra field, a missing local method — show up directly in FTD numbers.

Why it matters: the cashier is where marketing spend either converts into balance or evaporates. Operators evaluating a casino platform should treat cashier flexibility — orchestration, routing rules, local method coverage — as a first-class selection criterion, not a payments afterthought.
